Resource Center Telecourses
 These
telecourses are a perfect forum for people requiring information
and support in a confidential, anonymous manner. The telecourses
will expand your knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding
herpes and give you effective hands-on tools to help you tackle
them.
We will discuss practical matters about this virus in a safe, interactive
environment, as well as address the feelings of guilt, frustration,
shame, hurt and anger you may be experiencing. This combination
of support and information will give you self-confidence, empower
you to leave the stigma behind and help you live “life beyond
herpes”.
Course Outlines
There are two telecourse options: one being a variety of individual
workshops, as well as a series consisting of 4 weekly classes.
All classes are 1 hour long, plus 15 minutes which is dedicated
to a question and answer period. The Herpes Foundation Telecourses
cover the following topics:
• Transmission of the Virus
• Treatments
• Safer Sex
• Reaching Beyond the Stigma
• Dealing with Emotional Repercussions (anger, shame, guilt, fear,
etc.)
• Relationships & Dating with Herpes: Telling Your Partners
• Self Esteem Building
• On-going Well Being: Where Do You Go From Here?
